An Intro to Sonar Presents

JB is joined by Jade and Russ from Sonar Presents (@sonar_presents) who are strong supporters of grassroots music in a number of different ways.

We talk to them fresh off being at the Reading and Leeds festival at the weekend. This leads to discussion around the lack of support for emerging acts at the festival and beyond.

The pair give us an insight into their upcoming app Sonar Presents which will launch in November 2026. Their aim is to allow emerging artists to be discovered, allow bands/singers to make more money and more. Keep an eye out for its release.

There are some recommendations given on some emerging acts that you should all check out too which include The Kabins and Isaac Neilson.

Jade advises how she initially got involved with supporting emerging acts through giving female fronted bands more of a platform. This leads on to discussion on how women are treated differently in the music industry whether it be through representation at festivals or interacting with people.
