On your latest episode, singer Jay Brannan joins JB to talk music and mental health.

Jay starts off by telling us how he first picked up guitar, his solo career so far and supporting The Fratellis and Snow Patrol in his early music career.

On Friday 28th August, he releases his next single 'Coming Home' which is about his own mental health journey. You can purchase the song on Bandcamp with all proceeds going to the mental health charity Men Matter Scotland.

We discuss the link with music and mental health and share some of our own stragies that we use to maintain a positive mental health.

To conclude the podcast, we finish off with some quickfire questions for Jay.

Thanks to our sponsor, Arty Burgers (www.artyburgers.com) who are kindly offering 20% off their fantastic range of music prints, mugs and more using code THESOUNDOFTHEBAR to UK listeners.
